Specialized Job Placement Services
Specialized Job Placement services is a enhanced benchmark service that assists customers in preparing for and completing the job search process. Specialized Job Placement helps customers obtain a job that meets their needs outlined in their Individual Employment Plan created by the customer and their Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC), and their Benchmark Status Report.
Before WES can assist a customer in obtaining a job, a credentialed experienced JPS will train and assist the customer in all of the following areas:
The JPS will implement training activities to meet the customer's needs, including, but not limited to, literacy and disability needs. While all training will be individualized, it may be provided in an individual or group setting. When the service is provided in a group setting, a ratio of one JPS to no more than six customers will be maintained.
When a personal data sheet is completed for a customer, the JPS evaluate the customer's:

- Personal Employment Data Sheet training
- Resume training, when applicable
- Job applications training
- Job reference and written correspondence training
- Interview training
- Pre-employment testing training
- Job searching
- Job acceptance and preparing for the first day of On-the-Job Training (OJT)
The JPS will implement training activities to meet the customer's needs, including, but not limited to, literacy and disability needs. - demographics;
- arrest and conviction history, if any;
- paid work history;
- volunteer history;
- references;
- career objectives;
- training history;
- occupational license or certification;
- high school and GED information; and
- college education history.
