TWC Employee and Subcontractor Policy
_ TWC maintains employment and subcontracting records on each
employee and subcontractor. These files contain documentation regarding all
aspects of your tenure with TWC, such as your application for employment,
competency assessments, and disciplinary action documents. You may review your
employment or subcontracting records in the Corporate Office by submitting a
written request one week in advance of the review. The employment and
subcontractor records are the property of TWC and nothing may be copied or
removed from them without written permission from the management staff.
The information recorded in your employment or subcontractor file is extremely important and it is vital that your personal data is accurate and up to date. Your supervisor should be notified immediately of any change in address, phone number, and emergency contact information.
TWC will restrict disclosure of your employment or subcontractor records to authorized individuals within the company. Any request for information from your employment files must be directed to Human Resources/Management Staff. Only Human Resources/Management Staff is authorized to release information about current or former employees. Disclosure of personnel information to outside sources will be limited; however, TWC will cooperate with requests from authorized law enforcement or local, state or federal agencies conducting investigations and valid subpoenas.
Employee and/or family medical information (including but not limited to incident reports,) as well as garnishments, and I-9 records are not included in your personnel file. These records are confidential. TWC will safeguard them from disclosure and will divulge such information only (1) as allowed or required by law; (2) to the employee's personal physician upon written request with permission of the employee; or (3) as required for workers' compensation cases.
