What Is Hospital Sitting Services?

Picture
Hospital Sitting Services is a Program designed and proven to protect children and to act in the children’s best interest. We work along with the State of Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to  focuses on children and their families and seeks active involvement of the children’s parents and other family members to solve problems that lead to abuse or neglect.

Hospital sitting services are used for children in DFPS Conservatorship that are hospitalized because of illness or injury. The hospital sitting services may also be provided at a rehabilitative or nursing home facility. Our Hospital Sitter stays with the child and provides appropriate supervision and basic child care when the child is hospitalized and neither a DFPS staff person nor a Foster Parent is available to stay with the child.
